The plain-language fine print
These terms cover the use of this website and, at a high level, how our service engagements work. Your signed service agreement always takes precedence where it differs — it is where the specific detail of your engagement lives.
1. Who we are
Retroflux is a standalone South African company owned by Pholoso Mmutle. We are not a division of, and are not operated by, any other consultancy or group. For any question about these terms, email admin@retroflux.co.za.
2. Our services
Retroflux provides monthly outsourced accounting services: bookkeeping, SARS and CIPC compliance, payroll, management accounts and annual financial statements. The exact scope of services for your business is set out in the custom proposal you approve before we start.
3. The engagement process
Every engagement starts with an intro call, followed by a document audit where we review the current state of your books. Based on that audit, we issue a custom proposal. Engagements run month-to-month — you are never locked into a long contract, and either party may end the engagement with the notice period set out in your service agreement.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in South African Rands in your custom proposal, along with the payment terms and debit order date. Accounts that fall into arrears may have services paused until the account is settled. Where agreed, historical catch-up work may qualify for a discount, as set out in your proposal.
5. What we need from you
Accurate, timeous information — bank statements, invoices, payroll inputs and supporting documents — is essential to good books. Where information is late or incomplete, deadlines (including statutory ones) may be affected; we will always communicate this early and clearly.
6. Professional reliance
We prepare and submit compliance work based on the information you provide and the registrations in place at the time. Final responsibility for the accuracy of source information supplied rests with the client. Nothing on this website constitutes tax, legal or financial advice for your specific situation — that happens on a call or in your proposal.
7. Confidentiality
Everything you share with us about your business stays between us. We treat your financial and business information as strictly confidential, during and after the engagement, except where the law requires disclosure.
8. Website use
The content on this site is for information about our services. You may not copy, reuse or republish it without our written permission. Booking a call through this site does not create a client relationship — that begins when you sign your service agreement.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
